GRAVE MISTAKE Release Descriptions:

GRAVE078: TENEMENT "Bruised Music, Volume Two" LP / $9.50 wholesale
In the summer of 2009, Appleton, Wisconsin punk group Tenement prepared to embark on yet another trip across the United States in their 1986 Dodge short bus. Like their recording sessions of the time period, their method of travel was often grueling and economical. They played with brutal honesty and they lived with brutal honesty. After a violent incident that resulted in a lot of blood, a lot of broken glass, and the dismissal of half of the rhythm section from the group, this behavioral pattern would ultimately lead to the demise of the first major lineup of the band, and usher in a new era of introspection and experimentation. In 2011, their first two full length records, Napalm Dream and The Blind Wink, were released only a few months apart and lead to Tenement's widespread recognition as one of America's most notable melodic punk bands. Four years later, they released what many critics, from The New York Times to Rolling Stone, viewed as their major statement and first big achievement- Predatory Headlights. This newest singles collection, Bruised Music, Volume Two, represents the time between the release of their 2011 LPs and their 2015 sprawling double album. Bruised Music, Volume Two is not only a collection of singles, but really a collection of transitional tunes that would form the basis of their present sound and distance them from their early juvenile aesthetic and more simplistic approach to the punk idiom. Much of the material heard within was recorded at home on 8 track machine and cassette recorders; though a small portion of it was engineered and mixed by Napalm Dream and Predatory Headlights' production mastermind, Justin Perkins. These selections have a distinct sheen and lend a signature quality to the record as a whole. You'll hear the first inkling of Tenement's interest in the fusion of classical stringed instruments and pop music in "Wouldn't Let You Go", an instrumental piece called "Jet Slug" that sits somewhere between Pavement and Ferrante & Teicher, the chunky blown out punk/pop of "Blast Exhaust" and "Taking Everything" which seem too aggressive to label simply as "pop punk" yet too melodic to label as "hardcore", the acoustic ballad "Your Sway..." with Nick Drake-esque chord patterns. You'll hear the twinkling pianos of "Perverse Universe" and the jangling, sparkling guitars and lush vocal harmonies of "Paper Airplanes", and it will sound so achingly familiar yet so hard to generalize or pin down. This is the very sorcery of Tenement, and on Bruised Music, Volume Two, the spell is stronger than ever. Fourteen Tracks in all, including material compiled from the Taking Everything EP, split 7" w/ Culo, split 7" with Cheeky, Freak Cast in Iron "Sick Club" 7" single, Puke and Destroy Vol. 2 7" compilation, and split 7" w/ Screaming Females. All material has once again been mastered for this release by Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory.

GRAVE074: IRON BOOTS Complete Discography LP
The IRON BOOTS Complete Discography LP is a 20 song collection containing every recording the band had released. For the uninitiated, IRON BOOTS hailed from in Virginia Beach, VA and were most active from 2004-2006 before playing their final show in Richmond in 2008. With their hi-impact, fuck-your-attitude delivery and NYHC influenced songwriting (open your eyes, they sounded exactly like WARZONE, and wore that label proudly), the Boots were one of few contemporary hardcore bands that were able to take influence from classic hardcore punk and successfully make it their own. In their short career, Iron Boots managed to churn out an impressive catalog - an eight song demo, two 7" EPs, and two tracks for a Revelation Records compilation - all of which are featured on this release, remastered by Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory. The release also features brand new cover art by Spoiler and includes both a printed inner sleeve and giant 24x24 inch double sided lyric sheet / poster. Iron Boots took pride in maintaining a classic "If it ain't broke don't fix it" approach to hardcore in both songwriting and aesthetic. The end result being, as proven on this reissue, a timeless recorded and visual output that still maintains a fresh and vital feel more than a decade later.

GRAVE076: RED DEATH Permanent Exile LP/CD - $9.00 / $5.00 wholesale

In 2014, DC's RED DEATH came out of the gate and obliterated everyone with one of the best hardcore demos of the year. Their first recorded output channeled the sheer brutality and precision of crossover classics like Animosity and Cause for Alarm, without straying too far from the rawness and reckless abandon of hardcore punk.  On their new LP, Permanent Exile, Red Death delivers exactly as we hope a band with a strong outset should - with an even more powerful and focused follow up release.  While influences on Permanent Exile range from Negative Approach to The Accused to Anti-Cimex, one thing is made clearly evidently: Red Death are first and foremost a hardcore band.  As hardcore and punk get more fractionalized each year, they are band that puts emphasis and importance on the music they are creating, rather than what scene they fit in or what uniform they are wearing.  Permanent Exile is the record for those of us who appreciate every facet of hardcore, punk, metal, and all genres in between - and that says a lot in 2015.

GRAVE071: TENEMENT "Bruised Music Volume One" LP / $9.00 wholesale
TENEMENT began in 2006 with a series of loose demo recordings and singles that married the genres of "Pop" and "Punk" without being explicitly "Pop Punk" and to many, represented the power and urgency of Hardcore without actually conforming to the genre itself. These recordings have been compiled here on "Bruised Music Volume One," which covers Tenement's output on record between the years 2006 to 2009. The influence of 80's punk is strong in the bulk of the material on Bruised Music, likening the feeling of the Descendents or The Replacements. However, this comparison might seem lazy when you keep in mind that the members of Tenement had long schooled themselves on everything from The Beatles to Big Star, Sun Ra, Coltrane, Black Flag, Husker Du; obscure hardcore punk to Brill Building pop music and all points in between. The period of time represented in this collection is a period of growing pains that paved the way for them to become the band that they are today, and the band that they will be many years from now. Bruised Music Volume One isn’t just for the super-fan looking for a peek into Tenement’s early years and the honing of their razor sharp song-craft, it also offers new listeners a great introduction to the band’s perfect blend of raw punk energy and undeniable pop hooks.

Bruised Music Volume One compiles a total of ten tracks, taken from the Tenement Sucks tape, Dead Broke and Dirt Cult Records mixtape compilations, split w/ Used Kids, split w/ Friendly Fire, False Teeth 7", and Icepick 7". All of the material has been remastered by Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory for one cohesive and superb sounding anthology. The release also features an eight page booklet consisting of liner notes from the band, as well as an assortment of anecdotes and recollections from various friends, journalists, and musical peers reflecting on these formative years of Tenement's career.

GRAVE072: BREAKOUT "True Crime" 7" / $3.50 wholesale
BREAKOUT's second single follows their self-released "Razor Wire" nicely with a strong brand of UK punk-meets-US hardcore pummeling. Menace-meets-Nihilistics, Ruts-meets-Bad Brains; solid, catchy, furiously great songs. Amongst the latest crop of punk bands in Austin (and everywhere else), BREAKOUT is one of a kind and "True Crime" proves it.

GRAVE070: EARTH GIRLS "Wrong Side of History" 7" / $3.50 wholesale
"Earth Girls summon up the spirit of the Shop Assistants with a fresh and invigorating feel to songs that have all combined the right catchy elements to make them instantly memorable and ultimately unforgettable." On their debut EP, Chicago's EARTH GIRLS bring us four captivating garage-pop gems that are guaranteed to be the soundtrack for your summer.  A distinctive blend of punchy guitar, driving bass, and a frantic yet steady beat lay an impeccable foundation for a vocal delivery that calls to mind some of the best female fronted power pop bands of the 70's and 80's.  Earth Girls have created a release that crosses genres in the best ways possible, making for one of the most addictive singles you'll come across this year. UK version available on DRUNKEN SAILOR RECORDS

GRAVE068: SUPERCRUSH "Lifted b/w Melt Into You (Drift Away)" 7" / $3.50 wholesale
Although best known for playing in a long lineage of hardcore, punk, and metal bands, Mark Palm's focus has always been song- craft and pop sensibility. After finally embracing all that is sweet and sublime as the primary songwriter of San Francisco's shoegaze darlings MODERN CHARMS, Palm continues to explore the saccharine side of things with this latest project, SUPERCRUSH. While not a carbon copy of any one band or scene, the sounds of Supercrush will likely appeal to those with a taste for much of the "alternative" music of the early 1990's, from both North America and the UK. From Brits Swervedriver and Teenage Fanclub, to American counterparts like Sugar and Smashing Pumpkins, and even often overlooked Canadians like The Doughboys and Sloan, the common denominator is meticulously crafted pop gems, something that Supercrush also strives to achieve. Two blissful, hook-filled, syrupy-fuzz-pop anthems; so classically '90s, yet so now.

GRAVE064: BRAIN F≠ "EMPTY SET" LP / $8.00 wholesale
After two killer singles and a much loved, ambitious LP, North Carolina's Brain F≠ return with the long-awaited "Empty Set." The new LP refines the unique formula that worked so well on their debut LP, "Sleep Rough," where jittering hardcore rhythms, cascades of noisy guitar, and charismatically unique vocals collided into an instantly distinctive sound. On" Empty Set," Nick and Elise's vocal interplay sounds more purposeful - passionate, even - but still puzzlingly disaffected in their now-characteristic way. The TEENGENERATE mainline scabbed with myriad strains of DANGERHOUSE streaks remains, but you can hear the sounds of a band growing far more confident in their own singular sound.  Everything that "Sleep Rough" did, "Empty Set" does better, and that’s saying something.

GRAVE067CD: COKE BUST "CONFINED ANTHOLOGY" CD / $5.00 wholesale
The "Confined Anthology" is a 28 song CD collecting of the past two years of COKE BUST's output onto one release. In addition to 2013's "Confined" 12", this collection also contains COKE BUST tracks from the following releases: their 7" split with VACCINE, the "Live on WMUC" 7", and 2011's "Degradation" 7" EP.  A much needed document for one of Washington DC hardcore's best and most active bands in recent years. "Confined," the band's latest release on Grave Mistake is their most intense work to date; which says a lot considering the sheer ferocity of the band's previous output.  This is no surprise however, considering Coke Bust have spent the past seven years of their existence refusing to rest on their laurels; constantly refining their style and successfully outdoing themselves with each release.  For the unacquainted, Coke Bust deliver their own brand of no frills fast hardcore, taking cues from bands like SIEGE, INFEST, and YOUTH OF TODAY.

GRAVE067: COKE BUST "CONFINED" 12" / $8.00 wholesale
Washington DC's COKE BUST deliver nine more raging blasts of full on hardcore in its rawest and most primal form.  "Confined," the band's latest release on Grave Mistake since 2011's "Degradation" EP, is their most intense work to date; which says a lot considering the sheer ferocity of the band's previous output. Fully embracing the "less is more" philosophy, the fat has been completely trimmed on "Confined," leaving nothing but prime cut at 45 revolutions per minute. The US pressing on Grave Mistake pressing also comes with a huge 24x36 fold out poster.

GRAVE066: RED DONS "NOTES ON THE UNDERGROUND" 7" / $3.25 wholesale
Notes on the Underground is the newest single from the nomadic musical entity that is RED DONS.  Formed in Portland in 2005 by Vocalist/Guitarist Douglas Burns (ex-The Observers), bassist Hajji Husayn, and drummer Richard Joachim, RED DONS have managed to stay quite prolific while being spread across the globe and working with a collective of members and contributors.  With releases on Deranged, Taken by Surprise, and Dirtnap Records under their belts, "Notes on the Underground," which has been in the works since 2010, finally sees the light of day.  Keeping with the signature formula of their previous releases, RED DONS deliver an outstanding record that draws from many musical elements and influences to create a dark, driving, melodic sound that is distinctly their own.

GRAVE065: NIGHT BIRDS "BORN TO DIE IN SUBURBIA" LP / $8.00 wholesale
GRAVE065CD: NIGHT BIRDS "BORN TO DIE IN SUBURBIA" CD / $5.00 wholesale
At long last, New Jersey's NIGHT BIRDS deliver the follow up to their 2011 debut LP, "The Other Side of Darkness." "Born to Die in Suburbia" delivers fourteen new tracks - refashioning the dark overtones, surf inflections, and melodic sensibilities of their signature style without dramatically altering their core sound. The result being not only their most diverse and accomplished collection of songs to date, but an output that is more distinctly NIGHT BIRDS than ever. Rife with impassioned social commentary, tales of dysfunction and despair, and lamentations of a culture in rapid decline, "Born To Die In Suburbia" is an instant punk rock classic for this modern world on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

GRAVE062: KREMLIN "WILL YOU FEED ME?" 7" / $3.00 wholesale
US pressing of the debut 7" EP from Toronto's KREMLIN. Originally released in 2012 on Germany's Hardware Records, we decided it wouldn't hurt to press up a North American version to coincide with the release of the band's "Drunk in the Gulag" LP, released earlier this year on Beach Impediment / Bad Vibrations Records. This EP delivers five loud and chaotic rippers, combining influences ranging from UK/European hardcore to some good ol' USHC, with a hint of Japanese Noisecore thrown in ... it's fast, raw, and to the goddamn point! Newly remastered for maximum intensity!

GRAVE059: BIG EYES "ALMOST FAMOUS" LP/CD / $8.00 wholesale LP / $5.00 wholesale CD
The highly anticipated sophomore full length from Seattle's BIG EYES! With a solidified West Coast lineup, BIG EYES have stepped up their game with a more definitive sound and unified vision. "ALMOST FAMOUS" finds the band drawing even more of a hard rock influence, while maintaining both the pop sensibility and punk edge that you've come to know and love. Taking inspiration from a wide variety of bands ranging from 70's rock and roll staples like Kiss and Blue Oyster Cult, 70's and 80's power pop classics like The Nerves, The Shivvers and The Undertones, and 90's pop punk bands like Scared of Chaka and Mr. T Experience, the trio continue to develop their signature style - tastefully embracing the more glamorous aspects of rock and roll without compromising the attitude and grit.

GRAVE060: SECTARIAN VIOLENCE "UPWARD HOSTILITY" LP / $8.00 wholesale
SECTARIAN VIOLENCE introduced themselves to the masses in 2012 with their impressive self-titled debut 7" EP.  "Upward Hostility," the first full-length from this intercontinental straightedge hardcore band picks up right where that first EP left off, delivering some of the burliest meat and potatoes hardcore you've heard in recent years.  SECTARIAN VIOLENCE smash through ten raging tracks deeply rooted in early 80's USHC while also drawing additional influence and inspiration from hardcore of recent years.  You can expect relevant socio-political commentary delivered over fast, driving hardcore with crushing pulses, keeping things unique, relevant, and fresh for 2013.

GRAVE058: SICKOIDS "NO HOME E.P." 12" / $8.00 wholesale
SICKOIDS follow up their debut LP with six new tracks of complex, pummeling hardcore. While their previous record incorporated varying moods and even a little melody, "No Home" is a blistering, full-frontal assault combining the directness of early POISON IDEA with dense, confident musicianship rarely heard in a hardcore band. Between their great first record and their powerful live shows SICKOIDS have set the bar pretty high, but "No Home" exceeds all expectations, cementing their status as one of the most exciting and vital hardcore punk bands in the world. Split Release with SORRY STATE RECORDS.

VC-001: BARGE "NO GAIN E.P." 7" / $3.00 wholesale
Richmond, VA's BARGE finally deliver the highly anticipated follow up to their 2012 demo with the raging "NO GAIN E.P.!"  Clocking in eight tracks at just under nine minutes (for those of you with short attention spans), this debut EP brings the blistering speed and ferocity of classics like INFEST and NO COMMENT, while laying you out flat with heavy breaks reminiscent of classic early 80's Boston.  BARGE's intensity both live and on record are the reason they are one of the best new hardcore bands coming out of RVA these days, and it's about time for everyone else to hear why!  This release also marks the beginning of the new and improved, locals-only VINYL CONFLICT LABEL!

GRAVE056: THE SHIRKS "S/T" 12" / $8.00 wholesale
The fifth release from Washington DC's THE SHIRKS and their first 12"! On this new release, the boys burn through eight new tracks at 45 revolutions per minute with their brand of trashy, fuzzed out punk rock n' roll.  I think it's safe to say that THE SHIRKS get better with each release, and this 12", which features some of the best tracks the band has put to vinyl yet, might also be their rawest and most primitive sounding release to date. This record is guaranteed to satisfy all of the pre-existing fan-boys and girls, and should leave some new heads turned as well.

GRAVE055: NIGHT BIRDS "Fresh Kills Vol. 1" LP / $8.00 wholesale
With the NIGHT BIRDS first three 7" singles all now out of print, we decided that the easiest solution to keep these tunes available on vinyl for the masses would be to press up the "Fresh Kills Vol. 1" collection onto 12" format!  This LP compiles the first two years of the band's existence; including their 2009 demo, their highly sought after "Killer Waves" 7" on Art of the Underground, the "Self-Titled" EP on Dirtnap / Grave Mistake, and their "Midnight Movies" 7" on No Way Records; 15 tracks in all.  We've also added concise liner notes from the band discussing each release collected on this LP. These Jersey boys take all of the best elements from bands like ADOLESCENTS, D.I., AGENT ORANGE, and DEAD KENNEDYS (to name a few), to create some of the most infectious snotty surf-influenced hardcore punk this side of Rikk Agnew's cat corpse.

GRAVE054: SCHOOL JERKS "S/T" LP / $8.00 wholesale
Rawer than Raw Punk.  Harder than Hardcore.  This is punk for 2012. After three killer 7" EPs, Toronto's SCHOOL JERKS finally deliver their first LP - thirteen songs at 45 RPM.  For the unfortunate souls still needing an introduction to the sounds of the SCHOOL JERKS, what you can expect are thirteen blasts of primal hardcore punk, stripped down to the core leaving very little room for misinterpretation.  We'll spare you the comparisons, but if you prefer your hardcore restrained in a straightjacket and locked in a rubber room, you need this LP.  Includes a Risograph poster, and more artwork by SCHOOL JERKS 'in house artist' Tara Bursey. Split release with the band's new Bad Vibrations record label.

GRAVE053: BIG EYES "BACK FROM THE MOON" 7" / $3.00 wholesale
The follow up to their highly acclaimed "Hard Life" LP (2011), the newest single from Seattle's BIG EYES might just be their catchiest material to date (and that is saying a lot)!  This double A-side slab delivers two incredible tracks that will leave you wishing there was a whole LPs worth of new material.  With big, poppy riffs and catchy choruses, the East Coast roots of BIG EYES shine through alongside a healthy dose of grit, attitude and tons of energy.  Drawing from a range of influences that span across decades of rock and roll - from Cheap Trick and Alice Cooper to the Ramones, Descendents, and The Muffs - BIG EYES bring a refreshing and distinct element to their melodic power-pop-punk sound.

GRAVE052: BLOODY GEARS "FROZEN RAIN" 7" / $3.00 wholesale
Boston, MA's BLOODY GEARS bring us the long-awaited follow up to their 2010 debut EP, an exclusive 7" single from their forthcoming LP, "Landscapes of Disease", due out in May 2012 on Deranged Records. More atmospheric and brooding than their previous material, the A-Side track "Frozen Rain" finds the band exploring new, yet familiar, territory in the realm of dark and ominous melodic punk. This single version of "Frozen Rain" contains a different mix than the LP version, with added instrumentation. The flip side picks the pace up with two additional non-LP tracks; one of which is brand new and exclusive to this 7", the other a rerecorded version of "Bite the Hand" off of their 2009 demo. Drawing their own sound from punk, post punk, and hardcore, BLOODY GEARS have often been compared to bands like the Wipers, Husker Du, Moving Targets, or Articles of Faith.

GRAVE043: BAD ADVICE "DO NOT RESUSCITATE" 7" / $3.00 wholesale
Finally!!! This EP from Richmond's BAD ADVICE has been in the making for the better part of four years.  BAD ADVICE features Brandon and Eric from GOVERNMENT WARNING / DIRECT CONTROL on double guitar duties, Tony Bitch and Keith Babe from THE LADIES on vocals and bass, respectively, and Colin from CLOAK/DAGGER behind the drum kit; a Richmond hc/punk all-star group of sorts.  Originally formed in 2007, recorded in 2008, finished in 2010, and now released in 2012, this EP still sounds as vital and refreshing as the day these songs were written.  While the "members of" tags inevitably perked up people's ears (especially at that time in the late 2000's), BAD ADVICE managed to step out from the shadows of "side project" status by delivering a scathing blend of mid tempo 70's punk and pissed-fast early USHC, both live and now on record.  Each member was able to bring to the table the writing and playing styles they perfected with their main bands to create a sound that stood on it's own amidst not only their bands, but their contemporaries as well.  If you are a fan of any of the bands listed previously, you will DEFINITELY want to check this out.  Split release with TENSION HEAD RECORDS.

GRAVE050: NIGHT BIRDS "THE OTHER SIDE OF DARKNESS" LP / $8.00 wholesale
At long last, the debut LP from NY/NJ's own NIGHT BIRDS is finally upon us!  Following three well received 7" EPs, "The Other Side of Darkness" takes you on on a non-stop demented thrill ride with thirteen raging blasts of high-octane surf-inspired punk that the band has become known for.  NIGHT BIRDS have pulled out all of the stops on this long player; honing their hardcore/punk/surf/garage hybrid sound to near perfection, delivering each and every song with urgent and unmistakable precision.  With underlying themes of isolation, paranoia, depression, visions of total annihilation, and more horror/b-movie nods and references than you can count, "The Other Side of Darkness" is the ultimate soundtrack to that post-apocalyptic nightmare that you just can't seem to wake up from.

GRAVE049: BRAIN F≠ "SLEEP ROUGH" LP / $8.00 wholesale
The first two singles from North Carolina's Brain F≠ left a lot of people scratching their heads: Is it garage? Is it hardcore? (It's definitely punk.) How did they write such catchy riffs? How do you pronounce "F≠?" Brain F≠'s debut long player, Sleep Rough, will force you to ponder those same questions and may breed even more (and we mean that in the best way possible). Everything has been amped up for this release... the hard stuff is harder, the catchy stuff is catchier (oh, is it catchy!), and the weird stuff is weirder. There's no need for band comparisons, but if you're into that sort of thing then imagine the SAINTS' minds in TEENGENERATE and the AVENGERS' bodies sent to a dystopian future. Really, though, this sounds like the year 2011; if you like huge guitars, endless vocal hooks, and a turbo-charged rhythm section (you do), then you need to hear this record. Split release with SORRY STATE RECORDS.

GRAVE045: THE SHIRKS "CRY CRY CRY" 7" / $3.00 wholesale
This is EP number four from one of Washington DC's finest, THE SHIRKS. CRY CRY CRY features three more infectious, guitar driven punk rock 'n roll A-Sides with 70's punk feel - there's a heavy SAINTS / Aussie KBD sound present in these tunes - run through the 90's garage filter while maintaining a raw and primitive vibe. To put things into perspective, Terminal Boredom might have put it best in a review of their last 7" on Windian, referring to the band's style as "East Coast tough-as-shit leather jacket punk bad ass-ness" ... while I'm not 100% sure what that means, I can't really disagree with it either because it sounds kinda perfect. THE SHIRKS have been at it for a few years now, with each release better than then next - if you have yet to check them out, then what better place to start than with this 7"?

GRAVE042: DEEP SLEEP "TURN ME OFF" LP/CD / $8.00 wholesale LP / $5.00 wholesale CD
Five years and three 7" EPs since the band's inception, Baltimore's DEEP SLEEP finally unleash their first LP on the world.  If you've been following the band through 2008's MANIC EUPHORIA and 2009's PARANOID FUTURES, you have more than likely noticed that DEEP SLEEP has slowly but steadily been morphing into an unclassifiable superhuman mutant; feeding off of a steady diet of ALL, DESCENDENTS, and other assorted goodies from the SST / CRUZ catalogs, leaving a trail of destruction and fast food wrappers in it's wake.  Recorded in the band's own house / practice spot (Wallride Manor) and mastered by the one and only Stephen Egerton, TURN ME OFF finds DEEP SLEEP's sound growing and expanding in every direction; the fast songs are faster, the hooks throughout are catchier than ever; each of the ten tracks on this LP is defined with it's own distinctive guitar blitzkreig, and interlaced with one of the most exhilarating rhythm sections in hardcore/punk today, while the lyrics drenched in depression, isolation, frustration, and insanity keep you uncomfortably intrigued.  TURN ME OFF has everything you could want from a punk record in 2011 and then some.  DEEP SLEEP have outdone themselves once again, delivering their best and most unique sounding record to date.

GRAVE047: GOVERNMENT WARNING "NO MODERATION" LP / $7.50 wholesale
GOVERNMENT WARNING's debut LP is finally back in print!  Originally released on FERAL WARD in 2006, NO MODERATION rips through ten blistering tracks of no frills early 80's hardcore; taking the speed and ferocity of JERRY'S KIDS, FU's and KORO and combining it with hook-laden so-cal punk sensibilities of ADOLESCENTS or AGENT ORANGE.  NO MODERATION is held by many to be GOVERNMENT WARNING'S defining record, and it's available to the masses once again.

GRAVE046: COKE BUST "DEGRADATION" 7" / $3.00 whoesale
Following up their LP on Six Weeks Records, DC's COKE BUST have unleashed a monster of a new EP; easily their best and most crushing record to date.  DEGRADATION is a blistering, noisy, mind blowing,full-throttle hardcore assault influenced by the masters like Heresy, Ripcord, Infest, and Larm.  Tearing through six songs in five minutes, this EP will pummel you down to the ground then leave you on your knees begging for more.  Recorded by Kevin at Developing Nations Studios and mastered by Smok (Post Regiment fame).

GRAVE041: THE LADIES - "SIX MORE REASONS TO HATE THE LADIES" 7" / $2.50 wholesale
To love The Ladies is to hate The Ladies, and here are six more damn fine reasons to do both. On their fourth 7", Tony Bitch and Co. bring you six more blistering tracks of sleazy and infectious punk rock gems drenched in early Dwarves worship (which you've probably come to expect if you've checked out any of their other records), with a little extra dose of melody mixed in for good measure. Hands down their best release to date, and best looking too ... slick pink and purple double sided layout with the required amount of smutty imagery; trashy and classy at the same time. Learn to hate them ...

GRAVE039: THE ERGS - "THRASH COMPACTOR" 7" / $2.50 wholesale
The Ergs record that never was, but always should have been! The THRASH COMPACTOR E.P., most of which was recorded 7 years ago, finally sees the light of day in the form of this one-sided 7". Five songs of short, fast, and catchy hardcore/punk like only the Ergs can do it. If you're only familiar with their post-Ben Kweller EP catalog, then you might not be aware of their penchant for rippin' hardcore/punk along the lines of bands like Adrenaline OD, "Bonus Fat"-era Descendents, and Angry Samoans. With lyrics about douchebag frontmen of former punk bands, high school killing sprees, suburban banality, and killing presidents ... you know you can't go wrong. This EP will fly right by you, but hook you right in to keep playing it over and over. Thankfully, it's one-sided so you just gotta move the needle back to the start. No flipping required. SPLIT WITH FIRESTARTER RECORDS.

GRAVE037: SOUTHSIDE STRANGLERS - "TOO MUCH TV" 7" / $2.50 wholesale
The debut 7" from Richmond, VA's SOUTHSIDE STRANGLERS slashes your face with six cuts of raw, bare bones rock and roll! Featuring Kenny and Brandon from GOVERNMENT WARNING on vocals and guitar, respectively, but don't expect any high speed 80's hc rippers ... mix equal parts of '60s garage rock (SONICS) and '70s punk rock (PAGANS, DMZ) and you'll get an idea of what the SOUTHSIDE STRANGLERS are serving up.  Abrupt and to the point; driving guitars, tasteful leads, powerful rhythm, and vocals that are as vicious as they are soulful.  Not to be written off as an experiment or side project ... SOUTHSIDE STRANGLERS are the real deal. SPLIT WITH VICIOUS CIRCLE RECORDS.

GRAVE038: CLOAK/DAGGER - "DON'T NEED A" 7" / $2.50 wholesale
Brand new three song 7" EP from CLOAK/DAGGER! This single charges through the title track "DON'T NEED A" which is taken from their upcoming LP "LOST ART" due out on JADE TREE this NOVEMBER, and is rounded out with two non-LP tracks on the B-side, only available on this single.  CLOAK/DAGGER continues to charge forward getting better with every release as they fine tune their HOT SNAKES via early 80's hardcore sound.  Comes with a digital download card.

GRAVE036: GOVERNMENT WARNING - "EXECUTED" 7" / $2.50 wholesale
Brand new 45 single to accompany the new full length.  Recorded in the same session as PARANOID MESS.  This was originally intended to be a European tour single but we just opted to make it a proper release instead.  The title track charges through at varying speeds, musically taking cues from Kings of Punk era POISON IDEA topped with Kenny's biting vocal delivery, while the flip side backhands you with one quick ripper in standard GW fashion, followed up with a Battalion of Saints cover.  SPLIT RELEASE WITH NO WAY RECORDS.

GRAVE035: GOVERNMENT WARNING - "PARANOID MESS" 12" / $7.00 wholesale
Richmond, VA's one and only GOVERNMENT WARNING are at it again. Following 2006's “No Moderation” LP and 2007's “Arrested” EP comes their highly anticipated second full length; PARANOID MESS delivers fifteen more unrelenting tracks full of snotty hardcore attitude that musically lies somewhere between ZERO BOYS, VERBAL ABUSE, FU’s or ADOLESCENTS.  The diverse songwriting that you have come to expect from GW is still very much present on this new LP, from the high speed hardcore blasts to the more mid tempo, hook laden fist pumpers, and everything in between.  Great sounding record that brings to mind the golden era of US hardcore - absolutely timeless and essential.  SPLIT RELEASE WITH NO WAY RECORDS.

GRAVE033: LOGIC PROBLEM - "NO CENTER" 7" / $2.50 wholesale
An incredible follow up EP to 2008's debut s/t 7" on SORRY STATE RECORDS.  With NO CENTER, North Carolina's LOGIC PROBLEM deliver up four more abrupt bursts of fast and raw hardcore.  While their debut EP seemed to separately showcase two different sides of the band, this new EP finds LOGIC PROBLEM hitting a perfect balance between the noise/feedback drenched discordance and the straightforward fast hardcore delivery.  LOGIC PROBLEM summon an ominous and chaotic element to keep things interesting while still managing to keep it short and to the point for maximum impact.

GRAVE031: DEEP SLEEP - "THREE THINGS AT ONCE" CD / $5.00 wholesale
Yep, you guessed it ... all three DEEP SLEEP 7"s compiled onto one convenient disc.  Collecting 2006's "YOU'RE SCREWED," 2008's "MANIC EUPHORIA," and their brand new EP, 2009's "PARANOID FUTURES," this release is a comprehensive presentation of DEEP SLEEP, manifesting how the band has honed and developed their infectious sound with each release. Twenty one songs in all, complete with lyrics and liner notes, this anthology spans the first three years of this Baltimore band's existence, and we can only hope that there are many more to come!

GRAVE030: DEEP SLEEP - "PARANOID FUTURES" 7" / $2.50 wholesale
DEEP SLEEP are at it again with their third EP!  PARANOID FUTURES delivers six more infectious tracks brimming with the frustrations and anxieties that coincide with the rigors of everyday life.  Continuing where 2008's MANIC EUPHORIA 7" left off, PARANOID FUTURES finds the band separating themselves even further from the simple "short and fast" method which laid the groundwork for their debut EP.  Opting for a more dynamic approach DEEP SLEEP delve even further into the melodic ALL / DESCENDENTS influenced brand of punk rock while maintaining a healthy dose of both attitude and originality.

GRAVE029: PSYCHED TO DIE - "STERILE WALLS" 7" / $2.50 wholesale
The debut EP from New Jersey's PSYCHED TO DIE!  Comprised of members of THE ERGS!, FORWARD TO DEATH, and FOR SCIENCE (to name a few), this fairly new band is hitting the ground running.  After dropping quite an impressive demo last summer, the boys are back with seven more morose punk rock gems, soaked in bitterness and hopelessness ... all the while maintaining a prescribed dosage of humor and wit.  Still, you won't find any positive sentiments or inspirational messages here ... PSYCHED TO DIE remind us that when life gets you down, sometimes the best option is to simply cut your losses while you still can.   STERILE WALLS is your one way ticket to either the nut house, or the morgue.Split release with FIRESTARTER RECORDS.

GRAVE028: TIME TO ESCAPE - "COST OF LIVING" 7" / $2.50 wholesale
TIME TO ESCAPE bring five more blistering tracks on this new EP.  COST OF LIVING is the band's first recorded output since their debut 7" in 2007.  Keeping up with that first EP, TTE follow up with an in-your-face barrage of 80's influenced hardcore, abrupt and to the point just the way we like it.  For this record they enlisted Brandon from GOVERNMENT WARNING / WASTED TIME for drum duties, if that gives you any indication of how much this slab rages.

GRAVE023: NIGHTSTICK JUSTICE - "CLAUSTROPHOBIC E.P." 7" - $2.50 wholesale
On their second E.P. (and third vinyl output) California's NIGHTSTICK JUSTICE bring you five more discordant cuts of raw and explosive hardcore!  If you were lucky enough to grab either their demo 7" or the MINDLESS VIOLENCE E.P. on WAY BACK WHEN / EVEN WORSE  you have an idea of what to expect: fast and biting hardcore that combines a range of influences and elements from early boston and california hc to japanese hardcore.  With this new E.P., NIGHTSTICK JUSTICE have honed their sound even tighter and cranked up the power and intensity times ten, pummeling you with a nonstop barrage of sonic insanity.  If you are still standing by the end of this EP, their upcoming 12" on TANKCRIMES will be sure to finish the job this summer.

GRAVE022: CLOAK/DAGGER - "KAMIKAZES" 7" - $2.50 wholesale
CLOAK/DAGGER tear through the distinctive guitar fuzz driven track "KAMIKAZES" off of their 2007 "WE ARE" full length (vinyl version out spring 2008 on GRAVE MISTAKE) on the A-side, then a blistering rendition of the MODERN LOVER'S cut "SHE CRACKED" on the flip.  Still out of control, and you've still got a problem.

GRAVE021: DEEP SLEEP - "MANIC EUPHORIA" 7" - $2.50 wholesale
Two years, lineup changes, drugs, jail, and other assorted misfortunes can't keep a good band down.  Baltimore's DEEP SLEEP are back with a vengeance, this time around firing out six more tracks of their brand of seething yet addictive punk rock. Expanding on the early southern california punk influences of the first record, and adding an extra dosage of ALL/Descendents style weirdness and catchiness to the picture, MANIC EUPHORIA shows a distinct evolution from their debut while maintaining all of the elements you grew to love in the first place.

GRAVE020: UNSEEN FORCE - "IN SEARCH OF THE TRUTH" CD $5.00
We've unearthed one hell of a hardcore gem with this one.  Finally available once again after 22 long years is the official reissue of UNSEEN FORCE'S devastating LP from 1986 "IN SEARCH OF THE TRUTH."  Hailing from none other than Richmond, VA, comprised of members of WHITE CROSS, HONOR ROLE, and 2000 MANIACS (and eventually FOUR WALLS FALLING and GWAR) ... UNSEEN FORCE made a name for themselves in their brief two year existence, playing countless shows both locally and nationwide, and releasing their 11 song monster of an LP.  This reissue (co-released with VICIOUS CIRCLE RECORDS) contains 35 songs total ... their long out of print "IN SEARCH OF THE TRUTH" full length (originally a one time, self released press of 500 copies) in it's entirety, a live soundboard set from their 1986 tour which features several unreleased tracks, and all of the tracks from the 2000 Maniacs (pre-UF band) 1984 demo.  The LP songs were taken directly from the master reels, and all of the material was then remasterd by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound (who has mastered records for 86 MENTALITY, DIRECT CONTROL, GOVERNMENT WARNING, WASTED TIME, and tons more).  Coupled with the original lyric sheet insert and a ton of rare flyers and pictures from the band members' personal collections, this release has been given the proper re-issue treatment it deserved.  You won't find any post-hardcore mid 80's progressive art rock garbage here; we assure you that this cd contains nothing but, fast, chaotic unadulterated 80's hardcore punk rock.

GRAVE019: TIME TO ESCAPE - "S/T" 7" E.P. - $2.25 wholesale
Washington DC's TIME TO ESCAPE tear through five tracks no frills DC HARDCORE akin to early GOVERNMENT ISSUE or THE FAITH. Originally recorded as a demo with about 200 circulated, these tracks ripped too hard to fade into demo tape obscurity ... so here they are remastered and in vinyl format.   Proof that our nation's capital can still churn out the fast, seething, pissed off hardcore that put it on the map in the first place. THIRD PRESS HAND NUMBERED OUT OF 500.

GRAVE016: CARDIAC ARREST – "LIFE'S A DEAD END" 7" E.P. - $2.25 wholesale
The second EP from these Midwest ragers!  This time around, St. Louis' CARDIAC ARREST deliver six more ripping tracks of fast and pissed hardcore, reminiscent of early boston bands like NEGATIVE FX or the F.U.'s.  If you picked up their debut 7", you should have an idea of what to expect, only better with age!
